Jazz Band

The MC Jazz Band explores music of all jazz periods from the Big Band Era to the present.  Consisting of Saxophones, Trumpets, Trombones, and a rhythm section, the emphasis is placed on ensemble jazz playing and, for those interested, improvisation.  Several on and off-campus events are planned each semester including a major concert in Swor Auditorium each semester. The Jazz Band is featured at the annual Friends of Music Big Band Dinner and Silent Auction.
